This spring you can hear Het Collectief perform on stages in Flanders, the Netherlands, Latvia and Germany. We will continue to highlight the best of twentieth century repertoire, with particular focus on chamber music for strings and piano. With piano trios and quartets by Ives, Schönberg, Schumann, Lekeu, Korngold and Mahler, we return to an era in which romanticism and modernism were fascinatingly intertwined. For those who want to rediscover Messiaen's unrivalled 'Quartet for the End of Time', a trip to the beautiful cultural city of Leiden might be an option.
