Het Collectief has reserved the first days of 2022 to record a new version of Messiaen's 'Quatuor pour la fin du temps'. We already released the work on CD in 2008, but thought it was worth recording our new impressions from the last few years.
In the meantime, we have also started looking in a radically different way for a further deepening of our version. We went into conversation with multimedia artist Anouk de Clercq. She chose to add light and video so that Messiaen's masterpiece grows into a ‘Gesamtkunstwerk’. This makes the listening experience for the audience even more intense and the message more topical. You can experience the first two performances in Antwerp and Bruges.
